A Romantic Day at the Scottish Rite Cathedral with Devon & Clarissa
A Romantic Day at the Scottish Rite Cathedral with Devon & Clarissa
As award winning Indianapolis florists, we’ve had the privilege of creating some of the most beautiful floral arrangements. But there are some weddings that stick with us in the loveliest of ways. Devon and Clarissa’s celebration at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis was one of those unforgettable days.
From the moment we met them, we knew we were working with two of the kindest people. Their vision was timeless, elegant, and full of personal touches, and we were honored to help bring it to life.
Clarissa’s Elegant Floral Vision
Clarissa had a clear and beautiful vision for her wedding florals. She wanted a soft, romantic palette, with an elegant, understated feel. Think lots of blush, cream, ivory, and nude tones. We immediately fell in love with her choices.
One of the standout moments of her floral design was the bouquet. It featured a stunning Phalaenopsis orchid. Not only is this flower graceful and sculptural, but it also carries a touch of luxury that made her bouquet feel truly one-of-a-kind. These orchids are a bit of a splurge, but as Indianapolis wedding florists, we believe they’re worth every petal.
A Stunning Scottish Rite Cathedral Wedding
The Scottish Rite Cathedral Indianapolis served as the perfect backdrop for Devon and Clarissa’s big day. This cathedral wedding venue is full of historic charm, dramatic architectural details, and just the right touch of grandeur. It’s truly one of the most breathtaking Indianapolis wedding venues to get married in.
One thing to note: the Scottish Rite Cathedral doesn’t allow open-flame candles. But that didn’t stop us from creating a romantic glow! We used ribbed glass votives with electric candles to create a soft, ambient feel, no flames necessary. The texture of the ribbed glass added a beautiful detail that paired perfectly with the classic elegance of the venue.
Thoughtful Touches & Personal Details
One of the sweetest parts of this Scottish Rite Cathedral Wedding was seeing the personal elements Devon and Clarissa brought into their celebration. Their welcome sign, handcrafted by a family member, was such a meaningful way to greet their guests.
We love when couples bring a bit of themselves into the day, whether it's a handmade piece, heirloom accents, or something uniquely them. These are the details that turn a beautiful wedding into a deeply personal one.
At Duet Floral Studios, we believe floral design is a partnership or a duet, if you will. We love taking the time to understand your story so we can design something that reflects it beautifully.
Capturing Scottish Rite Cathedral Indianapolis Photos
We also had the privilege of working with our incredibly talented photography friend, Brittney Moseby. She captured every floral detail with so much heart and intention. Her Scottish Rite Cathedral Indianapolis photos are always stunning, and this wedding was no exception. It's such a joy to see our designs through her lens!
