We love getting to design florals for celebrations at unique venues. Our wonderful clients, Anju and Harsha, chose the charming Indianapolis Public Library wedding venue to tie the knot. Much like the happy couples themselves, the Indianapolis Library wedding locale is the perfect blend of modern and traditional. 

Although native New Yorkers, the couple chose an Indianapolis library wedding to celebrate with their families who live locally.

Indianapolis Library Wedding Venue 

You don’t need to be a bookworm to appreciate the beauty of an Indianapolis Central Library wedding. From the Reading Rooms and their signature marble staircase to the glass-encased atrium, and East Gardens, the landmark building is truly a florist’s dream. 

Before making their way tothe library, Anju and Harsha exchanged vows in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows at the Indianapolis Arts Garden within the Circle Center Mall. We created large statement floral displays that perfectly complemented the bridal bouquets. 

The airy reception was held in the atrium space of the public library. This setting accommodated tall centerpieces placed on gold pedestals, accompanied by coordinating gold and pink candles.

The Aesthetic: Colorful Coordination

After exchanging their vows, the bride changed out of her modern white gown into her second outfit of the day: a beautiful, traditional saree made in India. We intentionally chose flowers that highlighted the gorgeous colors of her saree.

We always focus on the little details for each of our wedding floral designs. The bridesmaids’ and Anju's bouquets of muted stems mixed with bold, beautiful flowers coordinated perfectly with the rest of the florals featured throughout the venue.

Twice as Nice

For their Central Indianapolis Library wedding, Anju and Harsha held their ceremony at the Indianapolis Arts Garden. Leaving the elegant of the reception for the beauty of the Indianapolis Public Library. Despite the change in location, we were able to reuse some of their decor for both moments with a little creativity. Repurposed flowers included the the large floral arrangements adorning the ceremony space as reception centerpieces.
